Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school or GED preferred or equivalent job experience
- Knowledge of food production techniques
- Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
- Ability to follow strict sanitation and safety guidelines
- Strong work ethic and ethical conduct
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and proper food handling

Job Duties
- Produce menu and special event food items following standardized recipes and systems
- Ensure food and sanitation standards are met by complying with HACCP regulations and safety guidelines
- Provide quality service to patients, hospital associates, and customers of the cafeteria, catering, and other services
- Maintain compliance with hospital and department requirements for federally funded healthcare programs
- Practice safe food handling techniques including proper hand washing, food storage, and cooking at correct temperatures
- Use quantity recipes, production sheets, batch cooking, and portion control to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
- Promote a positive cooperative attitude and flexibility to meet department goals
