Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- complete training as required by state regulations
- six months prior experience in food service preferred
- obtain Food Handlers Permit
- previous experience with elderly
- compassion for elderly
- ability to work responsibly individually and as a team member
- effective communication skills
- meet health requirements
- pass background checks
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- successful completion of training as required by state regulations
- six months prior experience in a food service department preferred
- supervisory experience desirable
- obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
- previous experience working with the elderly
- compassion and desire to work with elderly residents
- ability to work responsibly both as part of a team and independently
- effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public
- meet all health requirements and pass background checks
Job Duties
- work closely with the Dining Services Manager
- manage community food ordering
- prepare and deliver meals ensuring nutritional and appetizing quality
- maintain kitchen sanitation and supplies
- provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff
- ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
- support team efforts and contribute to a positive work environment
