Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Prior experience in food preparation
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Fluency in English with ability to read and write
  • Safe SERV certification
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety practices

Job Duties

  • Food preparation and production responsibilities
  • Review menus and production guides to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared
  • Prepare all meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure quality with minimal waste
  • Use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required
  • Operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table and tilt skillet
  • Follow recipes precisely
  • Prepare and assist with special function meals
  • Complete work assignments
  • Ensure meal service responsibilities are fulfilled
  • Adhere to food safety protocols
