Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work day shifts
  • Availability to work scheduled 16 hours weekly
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred
  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training
  • Certification in ServSafe may be required depending on location
  • Commitment to fulfill annual continuing education requirements including safety training and in-services
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on location
  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on location

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assemble baked goods
  • Cook, season and portion food according to menu and dietary requirements
  • Adhere to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation
  • Perform washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas
  • Maintain proper labeling and storage of food, equipment and machinery
  • Follow standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines for safe food preparation
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, grills and dishwashers
