Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow directions and recipes accurately
- Previous experience in food preparation preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work part-time and PRN shifts including day and evening
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a healthcare or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow specific dietary guidelines and menu instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including day and evening
Job Duties
- Follow the approved menu program or approved substitution menu that meets nutritional requirements as directed
- Respond to resident likes and dislikes maintaining high resident satisfaction
- Ensure that all foods are prepared to satisfaction of residents and in accordance with safe food handling practices
- Store all food items appropriately and date them properly
- Help maintain a clean kitchen
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed
