Job Requirements
- Complete a background investigation with favorable results
- Obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
- Complete a favorable pre-employment physical
- Work shift hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations
- Have resided in the United States for at least three years and reside in the commuting area of the vacancy
- U.S. citizenship or non-U.S. national status with proper residency
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service
- Provide employment verification via E-Verify
- Ability to provide a REAL ID or authorized combination of identity documents
- Direct deposit required
- Probationary period may be required
- Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements
Job Qualifications
- Experience in methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food activity
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work safely and perform simple arithmetic
- Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment
- Knowledge of characteristics of various foods
- Ability to season food and decide when foods are done
- Knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food presentation
- Open to all applicants meeting eligibility requirements
- Ability to provide clear and detailed resume of relevant experience
Job Duties
- Perform a full range of simple cooking tasks such as preparing pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and fresh or canned vegetables
- Prepare hot cereals, broiled meats, concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, gravies, and cold sandwich fillings
- Prepare convenience items including frozen hash browns, fish fillets, and chicken nuggets
- Peel, chop, grind, pare, cut, slice, dice, puree, dredge, flour, and bread food items
- Weigh, measure, and assemble ingredients for regular menu items
- Set up and replenish the salad bar
- Portion foods for distribution and meal service
- Cover, date, and store leftovers following established procedures
- Wash and clean kitchen equipment
- Mix ingredients according to written recipes to produce quality food and minimize waste
