Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of food preparation skills and HACCP standards
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work in a hot environment
- Willingness to stand, bend, and twist during work hours
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking techniques
- Strong communication skills with customers and team members
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, twist, and stand for long periods
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Season, cook, taste, carve, and serve food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other menu items
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
- Operate various kitchen equipment and measure and mix ingredients accurately
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
- Follow excellent food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
- Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
