Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months to 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small groups
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using American units
- Must have or obtain food handler's permit
- Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification within one year
- Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, taste or smell
- Ability to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups
Job Qualifications

- Good communication skills for presenting information to small groups
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Food handler's permit as required by state
- Willingness to obtain ServSafe certification within one year
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and food safety knowledge
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Read, understand and follow standardized recipes and production sheets
- Check deliveries of food and supplies, notify executive or sous chef of needs
- Serve meals using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature
- Comply with all standards and policies and report kitchen operation discrepancies
- Properly cover, date, and store food items and discard old items
- Attend in-service and safety meetings as required
- Obtain food supplies and support storage area organization
- Use ticket collection procedures and keep records during service
- Contribute creative input towards daily specials and special events
- Maintain sanitary work area and clean food processing equipment
- Use kitchen equipment safely and help train others
- Perform job analysis and daily cleaning tasks
- Perform other related duties including special banquets and functions
