Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards required
- minimum of 1 year of cooking experience
- work experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
- ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
- ability to frequently immerse hands in water and handle hot equipment
- ability to work in hot environments
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
- knowledge of food preparation methods including soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry
- ability to follow recipes and menus
- strong communication skills
- ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
- perform all station functions of fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking
- communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
- follow menus, season, cook, taste, carve, and serve food items
- clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
- operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
- comply with HACCP standards and food safety practices
- perform other duties as assigned
