Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent Food Handler certification
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally (team lift)
  • Reliable attendance
  • Ability to work in extreme heat and near moving mechanical parts
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent Food Handler certification
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally (team lift)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs
  • Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste
  • Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas
  • Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner
  • Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production
  • Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Performs other duties as required
