Job Requirements

  • One (1) year food service experience
  • Food Handlers Permit within 30-days of hire
  • ability to work early morning and late evening shifts
  • ability to adhere to hospital safety and sanitation policies
  • availability for PRN (per diem or as needed) scheduling
  • physical ability to perform cooking duties
  • commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • one (1) year food service experience
  • possession of a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire
  • cooking experience
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • good teamwork and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares food for patients, staff, and visitors of the healthcare facility following safe cooking techniques
  • supports quality control measures such as recipe adherence and food quality consistency
  • maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards
  • completes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital
  • handles multiple food orders efficiently while maintaining quality
  • assists and guides kitchen staff as needed
  • works early morning and late evening shifts as scheduled
