Job Requirements

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • have at least 3 years cooking experience preferably in broiler cooking
  • possess basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards
  • demonstrate good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking
  • understand accepted sanitation standards
  • know how to operate kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • have basic math skills for recipes and portions
  • communicate effectively in basic English
  • comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and use kitchen tools
  • able to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
  • maintain neat and clean appearance according to company standards

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • 3 years cooking experience preferred
  • broiler cooking experience preferred
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
  • good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • knowledge of sanitation standards
  • knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • basic math skills for recipes and portion sizes
  • basic English language skills for communication
  • ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment like coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of the highest standard
  • checks and controls the proper storage of product and portion control
  • keeps all refrigeration, equipment, storage and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • maintains logs related to cooling, heating, and temperature
