Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of one year of cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry food preparation
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Frequent hand immersion in water and water diluted with chemicals
  • Experience working with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Ability to work in a hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and HACCP standards
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers
  • Ability to work safely with sharp knives and hot equipment
  • Ability to manage multiple kitchen stations effectively

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • Provide high-quality service to customers and associates
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation following HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
