Job Requirements

  • None
  • One year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in food preparation and serving
  • Ability to operate food service equipment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to complete mandatory overtime
  • Successful completion of chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test
  • Completion of background check

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in food preparation and serving
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Familiarity with weights and measures
  • Understanding of required dietary regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve clients employee meals in cafeteria settings
  • Maintain sanitation in all areas of dietary department
  • Put up stock as it arrives in department
  • Assist in inventory control
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement monitoring
  • Function as a supervisor in the absence of food service supervisor
  • Operate food service equipment competently
