Job Requirements

  • experience in hotel or related field
  • ability to work full-time
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • proficiency in cooking techniques such as charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting, and par-cooking
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items based on standardized recipes for restaurant, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas
  • complete necessary food and station preparation prior to restaurant opening
  • prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards
  • utilize cooking techniques including charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting, and par-cooking
  • approach guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, service-oriented manner
  • recognize quality standards in vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products
  • prepare banquet food following Banquet Event Orders
  • support employee cafeteria food preparation as specified
