Job Requirements
- Previous grill cooking experience preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cooking including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and working in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to follow all safety protocols and company policies
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain quality control
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to food presentation and portion control
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to work the specified full-time schedule
- Basic math skills for portioning and recordkeeping
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and is responsible for records from area worked during service periods
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings and maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Abides by all company safety policies including the use of cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
