Job Requirements

  • Previous culinary experience required
  • Full-time or part-time availability
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm for full-time
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including standing for long periods and lifting
  • Willingness to attend safety and in-service training
  • Ability to comply with company safety policies and food handling regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary experience
  • Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP
  • Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to cleanliness and safe work practices
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Basic math skills for portioning and record keeping

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards
  • Demonstrates personal commitment to safety
  • Abides by all company policies including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
