Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of relevant cooking experience
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • prior experience in cafeteria or large volume food production preferred
  • familiarity with food safety procedures

Job Duties

  • refer to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
  • operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, and recipes
  • handle, store, label, and rotate products properly in accordance with state laws
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
  • understand menu items and prep ingredients accordingly
  • multitask efficiently in a high-volume kitchen
  • handle hot and cold work conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • perform other related duties as assigned
