Job Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Availability to work varying shifts including days, hours, and rotating weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to cooking
  • Willingness to follow health and safety standards
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Reliable transportation or means to commute to Baylor University location

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0 to 2 years of related cooking or food preparation experience
  • Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Adaptable and reliable work ethic
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and operations

Job Duties

  • Prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
  • Read and follow basic recipes and product directions accurately
  • Operate grill station and serve customers at a la carte as needed
  • Attend work on time and maintain satisfactory attendance
  • Assist in reducing food waste through responsible food preparation
  • Follow all safety and hygiene regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
