Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • minimum of one year cooking experience in restaurant or senior living or equivalent
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • skills in food preparation and presentation
  • knowledge of nutritional and dietary requirements
  • capacity to work specified part-time hours
  • strong interpersonal skills to engage with residents

  • culinary degree preferred
  • minimum of one year restaurant, senior living, or equivalent cooking experience

Job Duties

  • Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization at all times
  • adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards
  • produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
  • prepare diets according to policy and procedure
  • exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
  • assist with serving meals and ware washing as necessary
  • periodically visit residents to evaluate food service quality and make revisions to improve operations
  • represent the community in a warm and inviting manner to create a positive marketing environment
  • support a culture that drives top-line revenue and occupancy through business decisions and employee engagement
