Job Requirements
- Must undergo a physical exam and tuberculosis screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment
- Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cook experience
- Ability to follow meal plans and dietary restrictions
- Ability to work scheduled shifts Sunday through Tuesday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Ability to collaborate with kitchen and dining staff
- Willingness to adhere to kosher dietary laws

- Good communication skills to collaborate with dining staff

Job Duties
- Follow the meal plan designed by Food Service Management, preparing a diverse range of meals that adhere to resident dietary requirements and preferences
- Ensure all dishes meet quality and taste standards while conforming to kosher guidelines
- Assist in managing food inventory by ensuring proper storage of items
- all foods must be covered, labeled, and dated appropriately
- Clean and sanitize all work areas and equipment throughout the shift
- Collaborate with dishwashers to ensure that all kitchen and dining items are sanitized and ready for the next service
- Ability to use a knife and other cooking equipment, understanding temperature and cooking time
- Work closely with servers and other dining staff to communicate special requests or dietary restrictions
