Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one to three months food service or related experience
  • NRA food service sanitation or equivalent/safe serve certification
  • valid state driver's license
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work under supervision
  • physical stamina for full shift in an industrial kitchen

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of basic food preparation and proper food handling procedures
  • knowledge of general kitchen equipment and appliances
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work under direction and follow recipes
  • high level of organization, interpersonal, and communication skills

Job Duties

  • prepare well-balanced nutritious meals following a 28-day cycle menu
  • ensure meal service is provided for various activities and accommodates dietary needs
  • assist in ordering, purchasing, receiving, storing, and inventorying food products
  • maintain kitchen and dining area sanitation and comply with safety practices
  • provide quality customer service and ensure student satisfaction with food service
  • follow all regulatory and company policies including food safety and security
  • participate in mandatory staff training and perform other duties as assigned
