Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of cooking experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work some weekends and holidays
  • Experience with safety procedures in food service environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of relevant cooking experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility preferred
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and food handling procedures

Job Duties

  • Refer to daily prep list and complete opening and closing checklists daily
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Safely use kitchen utensils and equipment including knives, ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • Properly handle, store, label, and rotate food products according to state laws
  • Stock and maintain sufficient food products at line stations
  • Understand menu items and prep ingredients
  • Multitask in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Work under hot and cold conditions
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
