Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum one year of related cooking experience
- Food knowledge pertaining to soups, sauté, broiler, fry and pantry stations
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist and stand
- Willingness to work in hot environment and handle sharp knives and hot plates
- Commitment to following food safety and sanitation practices
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
- Experience in high volume or casual dining restaurant environments preferred
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Strong communication skills to interact comfortably with customers
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
- Communicates ticket times and potential problems to the manager and servers
- Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment
- Practices excellent food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with HACCP
- Operates kitchen equipment including measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding ingredients
- Stocks, dates, rotates and checks temperature of products
- Maintains accurate food production records and estimates food requirements
