Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of food preparation and production for volume restaurant
  • ability to read recipes and memorize and replicate food production procedures
  • ability to work well in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
  • proficiency with weights measures and math skills
  • ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • knowledge of health standards and ability to comply with health regulations

Job Duties

  • cook meats fish vegetables soups and other hot food products accurately and efficiently
  • prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
  • plate and garnish cooked items and prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates
  • follow recipes and replicate food production procedures
  • adhere to meal preparation and serving time schedules
  • communicate effectively with team members and the public
  • comply with health department and governmental agency regulations
