Job Duties

  • Prepare a wide variety of foods and entrees seasoned with various preparation methods following the recipe ensuring the freshness of the product used and presentation of the dish
  • keep up on recipe changes ensuring the exact preparation of the recipes and their procedures that maintain the level of quality and consistency of the product
  • weigh measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment
  • portion arrange and garnish food
  • keep the kitchen clean prepare and stock the station
  • ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock
  • clean and sanitize during the shift
  • communicate ticket times and potential problems with service personnel kitchen staff and managers
  • substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods
  • clean the station daily thoroughly
  • operate and maintain the equipment correctly
  • keep the immediate supervisor timely informed of any problem or issues of importance and take the necessary actions as required and suggest solutions or alternatives as appropriate
  • perform all activities and responsibilities in a highly effective manner in accordance with the company's established policies to achieve the objectives of your position
  • maintain a positive working relationship with all store employees to create and promote a healthy and harmonious work climate that will be of utmost importance both in the employee's behavior and morals as well as in their productivity and efficiency
  • at all times provide a favorable image of Cantina Catrina’s to promote their goals and objectives raise guest recognition and achieve acceptance of the commitment areas
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
  • ensure that guests are seated at tables that are always clean and properly mounted in the shortest possible time
  • clean and sanitize during the entire shift
  • scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning
