Job Requirements
- food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- minimum 1 year closely related cooking experience
- preferred experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment
- ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
- ability to bend, twist, and stand for job functions
- frequent immersion of hands in water and chemical solutions
- frequent use of sharp knives and hot plates
- frequent work in a hot environment
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in a high volume or casual dining environment preferred
- knowledge of food preparation and HACCP standards
- ability to follow recipes and menus accurately
- effective communication skills with customers and associates
- experience with fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking
- physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- season and cook various food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts
- communicate ticket times and issues to management and servers
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations and equipment
- operate kitchen equipment and measure ingredients
- stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of food products
- adhere to HACCP food safety and sanitation standards
