Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Ability to work in a hot environment
  • Minimum 1 year cooking experience

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Familiarity with cooking techniques including soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry stations
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food items
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to manager and servers
  • Ensure highest quality of service to customers and associates
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation standards complying with HACCP
  • Operate various kitchen equipment
  • Measure and mix ingredients
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
