Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a cooking role preferred
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
- Knowledge or willingness to learn food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Manual dexterity required
Job Qualifications

- Previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Manual dexterity and good auditory and visual capabilities
Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation and serving areas to ensure safety and sanitation
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating kitchen equipment
- Monitor freshness and quality of food by rotating stock and following labeling procedures
- Cook and prepare foods using methods such as tasting and use of food thermometers
- Prepare stations according to company guidelines
- Bake, roast, broil, and steam various foods including meats, fish, and vegetables
- Season, measure, and mix ingredients following recipes
- Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables
- Carve, trim, and prepare meats and seafood for service
- Bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries
- Clean cooking equipment such as pots, pans, and utensils
- Maintain records of food usage
- Assist with inventory management
- Follow food specification amounts and assist in forecasting preparation needs
- Serve food to customers in a timely manner
- Support culinary staff across stations as needed
- Communicate kitchen equipment and supply needs with supervisors
- Adhere to safety, food handling, sanitation, uniform, and productivity standards
- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive and approachable
- Perform other duties as assigned
