Job Description

The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department within Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for service members, their families, retired military personnel, and civilian employees. The MWR department provides a variety of programs and services including fitness, recreation, lodging, and food and beverage offerings. These programs are designed to support and boost morale while ensuring the welfare of all those associated with the Navy community.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to follow recipes and combine ingredients
  • skill to perform tasks with several steps and use judgment
  • ability to concentrate to serve uniform portions and avoid distractions
  • knowledge of simple arithmetic and reading instructions
  • working knowledge of sanitation procedures
  • ability to use kitchen equipment and utensils
  • knowledge of bake, holding ovens, and pizza makers operation
  • ability to relate inventory levels to purchasing
  • ability to operate cash register and point-of-sale system
  • no minimum education requirement
