Job Requirements
- Can obtain Food Handler's card
- meet all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
- ability to follow instructions
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- commitment to resident care and food quality
Job Qualifications
- One year of cooking experience
- able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- knowledge of food sanitation and safety practices
- experience in inventory management preferred
- good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe
- follow menu cycle noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
- clean and maintain a neat, safe working environment including kitchen and food service areas
- comply with state sanitation codes
- maintain inventory control, place food orders, verify that items are received appropriately, and restock
- ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed
