Job Requirements

  • Minimum tenth-grade education
  • availability to work 11am-8pm shifts three to four times per week including every-other weekend
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and dietary guidelines
  • basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • commitment to providing high-quality food service
  • willingness to work in a skilled nursing environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum tenth-grade education
  • prior skilled nursing foodservice experience preferred but not required
  • knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • ability to follow recipes and dietary instructions accurately
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • willingness to learn and grow within the role

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
  • ensure food safety by monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures
  • manage the preparation of large volumes of food
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • provide residents with appropriate food items for each meal
  • comply with health regulations and safety standards
  • support team members in daily kitchen operations
