Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility
  • Food handler's permit
  • Ability to speak, understand, and write fluently in English
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow dietary plans and instructions accurately

Job Qualifications

  • Food handler's permit
  • Ability to speak, understand, and write English fluently
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and dietary requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu while utilizing standardized recipes
  • Ensure that food prepared is of proper quantity and served according to established time schedules
  • Utilize correct portion control utensils during preparation and service to maintain proper food quantities
  • Check and maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service and record temperatures as required
  • Ensure adequate supply of food and supplies at all times and report low stock levels to the supervisor promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Collaborate with dietary team members to deliver quality meal services
