Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0 - 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Reliable transportation to commute to Baylor University location
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks associated with cooking
  • Ability to comply with safety and sanitation regulations
  • Team player with good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0 - 2 years of previous related cooking or food preparation experience beneficial
  • Team-oriented and adaptable with a commitment to safety
  • Ability to follow recipes and food preparation guidelines accurately
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work varying shifts including weekends
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with team members to minimize food waste and ensure quality service
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
