Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CRT-Accredited Food Handler certification - ANSI National Accreditation Board within 90 days
- CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate - ANSI National Accreditation Board within 90 days
- ability to comply with the MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccination requirements if in an on-site or hybrid workplace
- commitment to a drug-free workplace
- willingness to work full-time with a 40-hour workweek
- ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CRT-Accredited Food Handler certification - ANSI National Accreditation Board
- CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate - ANSI National Accreditation Board
- vocational or technical training in food service or currently enrolled preferred
- student culinary internships meeting internship requirements preferred
- 1 year of relevant experience in food preparation or serving preferred
Job Duties
- Assembles and prepares ingredients for cooking by cleaning and cutting
- follows standardized recipes, calculation ingredients based on weight and volume
- records temperatures correctly on temperature log sheets
- responsible to replace food items that do not fit standards
- stores food items as required, labeling and dating items per standards
- utilizes leftovers within allotted time
- sets up steam tables on patient and cafeteria tray lines
- communicates with other staff members to ensure continuity and coordination of services
