Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior kitchen or food preparation experience desired
must be able to follow safety and food handling protocols
excellent teamwork skills
ability to learn multiple roles within BOH
capable of standing for extended periods
able to lift up to 50 pounds
flexible availability including nights and weekends if required

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is a plus
ability to follow directions and adhere to food safety standards
strong teamwork and communication skills
willingness to learn multiple BOH stations and take on additional responsibilities
physical ability to perform tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting moderately heavy items
basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and hygiene procedures

Job Duties

Prepare and cook food following Shakey's guidelines and safe food handling procedures
set up and re-stock food items on the buffet line and salad bar
ensure proper storage and rotation of food products and ingredients
stock station with ingredients and supplies, as required
maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation work area
transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
sweep and mop kitchen floors
place dirty dishes and utensils in dishwasher
wash pots, pans, and trays
perform opening and closing procedures for the assigned BOH station
assist other BOH and FOH stations
all other duties, as assigned
