Job Requirements
- Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards, Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, Requires food knowledge pertaining to soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry, Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers, Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions, Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions, Frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates, Frequently works in hot environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of related cooking experience, Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices, Ability to read and comprehend instructions and policy documents, Strong communication skills for customer interaction, Experience in high volume and casual dining environments preferred, Food knowledge relating to soups, sauté, broiler, fry and pantry stations, Ability to work effectively under pressure
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items, Communicate ticket times and potential issues to managers and servers, Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment, Adhere to food safety and HACCP standards, Operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients, Stock, date, rotate and check temperatures of products, Assist with inventory and requisition supplies
