- Two to three years food production experience in an institutional setting
- Ability to perform math calculations
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Review menus and production schedules to determine types and quantities of food to prepare and plan cooking schedules
- Measure, weigh and combine ingredients for preparation of hot and cold food according to established recipes
- Ensure menu items are prepared in a timely manner and ready for assigned meal times
- Monitor consumption of menu items and adjust food production levels to avoid shortages or surpluses
- Organize and oversee work of food service workers ensuring standard food preparation
- Inspect food storage areas to ensure proper storage and prevent spoilage
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, counters, utensils and production areas
- Monitor food inventories and requisition foods from storeroom as necessary
- Perform duties of Food Service Worker when needed
- Assist Sous Chef as required
