Job Requirements

  • high school education or equivalent
  • food service certification
  • 1-2 plus years of full employment in related position
  • advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and outlook preferred
  • knowledge of cooking and kitchen procedures and practices
  • ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with kitchen staff
  • knowledge of safety and security procedures to maintain secure environment
  • service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • team player able to work under minimal supervision
  • able to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • capable of understanding and solving basic arithmetic problems
  • abide by payroll policies, procedures, and conduct rules
  • demonstrate knowledge of company safety and security procedures
  • travel as needed for hotel familiarization and content creation
  • availability during business hours Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend or holiday work

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • cook all items against recipe cards ensuring use records are followed and food is presented efficiently and with quality
  • monitor line set up before meal functions to ensure maximum efficiency
  • ensure equipment maintenance and follow kitchen clean as you go policy strictly
  • assist in cross-training team members and training new service line members
  • assist sous chef in maintaining quality standards and front line appearance
  • perform special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
  • abide by payroll policies, meal and rest periods policies, and company rules of conduct
