Job Requirements

  • Some high school education or equivalent
  • Experience in food preparation in related environments
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 40 pounds or more
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations
  • No education substitution allowed
  • Must provide proof of eligibility if claiming preference categories
  • Ability to work extended physical activity periods

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in food preparation and presentation in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food service environment
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment
  • Ability to season food and judge cooking readiness
  • Physical ability to lift 40 pounds frequently
  • Capable of standing, walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending for long periods
  • Experience related to safe food handling and preparation

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present food items in accordance with established methods and procedures
  • Follow oral and written instructions to ensure food safety and quality
  • Operate and clean food service equipment properly
  • Season food and determine when food items are adequately cooked
  • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods
  • Provide shift coverage including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations
