Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of 1 year cooking experience
- Experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and communicate with customers
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for job functions
- Willingness to work in hot environment
- Ability to use sharp knives and utensils safely
- Frequent hand immersion in water and chemicals
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of food preparation and HACCP standards
- Experience in high volume or casual dining restaurant preferred
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and communicate with customers
- Skills in food knowledge related to soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
- Capability to handle kitchen tools and equipment safely
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
- Provide high-quality service to customers and associates
- Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices compliant with HACCP standards
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment
- Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
