Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and other equipment to ensure proper cooking
- check freshness of food and rotate stock following labeling and dating procedures
- monitor food cooking progress using tasting, smelling, or food thermometers
- prepare food stations according to company guidelines
- bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables for consumption
- carve, trim, and prepare meats and seafood for service
- may bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries
- wash cooking equipment and utensils
- compile and maintain food usage records
- assist with inventory management
- follow food specifications and assist in forecasting preparation needs
- prepare and serve food promptly to customers
- support culinary staff at various stations as needed
- communicate kitchen equipment and supply needs to supervisor
- adhere to safety, sanitation, and uniform guidelines
- provide attentive and approachable customer service
- perform other assigned duties
