Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to use standard kitchen equipment including knives, ovens, slicers, steamers, grills, and broilers
  • Possess ServSafe certification or City/State Food Handler Card
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Availability to work from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Cash handling skills a plus
  • Ability to follow safety rules and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods

Job Qualifications

  • Possess ServSafe certification or City/State Food Handler Card
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Experience using standard kitchen equipment safely and correctly
  • Knowledge of food production processes and cost control methods
  • Ability to coordinate work with chefs or cooks
  • Good communication skills
  • Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
  • At least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Season and cook food according to recipes and experience
  • Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, taking temperatures
  • Adjust seasoning to customer tastes
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to patrons
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods
  • Handle cash and cashier duties when required
  • Follow all safety and food handling rules, including ServSafe and HACCP programs
  • Drive company vehicle to deliver food and supplies to various sites
  • Load and unload food containers, carts, and utensils
  • Maintain compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
