Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent certificate
Minimum two years experience in food preparation and kitchen practices
Ability to speak, read, and understand English
Ability to read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels
Positive attitude with the ability to work well with elderly individuals
May require valid First Aid Certification

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent certificate
At least two years of experience in food preparation, kitchen safety, sanitation, and menu planning
Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and recipes accurately
Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to work well with elderly populations
Experience in senior care industry is preferred

Job Duties

Prepare nutritious, heart-healthy meals for residents, prospective residents, families, and guests
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained in the kitchen
Assist with food purchasing and inventory management
Follow recipes, menus, and food labels accurately
Collaborate with the Director of Dining Services and team members to plan menus
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude towards all individuals, particularly seniors
