Manatee Cove Marina is a distinguished facility dedicated to providing recreational boating services and amenities. Job Requirements

  • Complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Undergo a Tier 1 Level background check for federal employment suitability
  • Pass a pre-employment physical examination
  • Obtain or complete food handler certification or training
  • Be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Be able to work shift hours including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special situations
  • Be a U.S. citizen or a non-U.S. national residing in a U.S. territory for at least three years
  • Register for Selective Service if male born after December 31, 1959
  • Complete employment verification (E-Verify)
  • Provide a REAL ID or approved identity documents to access the installation
  • Accept direct deposit for pay
  • Possibly complete a probationary period
  • Meet all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in food preparation and knowledge of food service methods
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment
  • Proficiency in simple arithmetic
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods
  • Previous work in grill, snack bar, restaurant, or similar food establishments

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook simple menu items such as pancakes, sausages, eggs, hamburgers, and vegetables
  • Prepare hot cereals and broiled meats
  • Cook concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies
  • Make cold sandwich fillings and prepare convenience items like frozen hash browns and chicken nuggets
  • Peel, chop, dice, slice, and season food items
  • Set up and replenish salad bar
  • Maintain cleanliness by washing and cleaning kitchen equipment
