Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant culinary experience
  • food safety certification such as ServSafe
  • availability to work second shift including weekends
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • physical stamina to handle kitchen demands
  • commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • proven cooking experience preferably in senior living or healthcare settings
  • strong culinary skills and knowledge of diverse cooking techniques
  • ability to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements

Job Duties

  • prepare meals to meet residents' dietary needs and preferences
  • collaborate with Head Chef on menu development including special diets
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations including HACCP
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • communicate and cooperate effectively with kitchen staff
  • ensure all kitchen equipment is in perfect working condition
  • support a positive and harmonious team environment
