Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • knowledge of ServSafe food safety protocols
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
  • strong hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook and clean food service for designated shifts
  • prep food for next shift
  • wash dishes and clean kitchen
  • behave professionally with staff and guests
  • provide a safe and clean work environment in the kitchen and dining area
  • follow ServSafe food safety protocols
  • prepare and serve banquet food as needed
  • keep all storage areas neat and clean
  • establish a set of personal quality standards for cleanliness and maintain those standards
  • write down maintenance or security problems
  • prepare all food and beverages
  • keep all supplies, food and drinking products stocked and fresh
  • take inventory of food, beverage and supplies
  • inform management of supply needs
  • be able to operate the service equipment
  • help other employees when needed
  • refer guest requests or concerns to appropriate department
  • report pertinent information to the next shift orally and in log books
  • continue and maintain a working relationship with other employees
  • perform all duties assigned by manager
