Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • food handler permit or servsafe certification where applicable
  • ability to read and follow written instructions
  • good communication skills
  • capacity to work rotating weekends
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • ability to tolerate temperature extremes and exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • willingness to work full-time 40 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • food handler permit or servsafe certification required by first day of work in Utah and Idaho
  • demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • ability to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines
  • preferred experience providing exceptional customer service
  • preferred knowledge of modified diet preparation
  • preferred ability to use commercial cooking equipment

Job Duties

  • prepares and cooks food items following recipes and instructions
  • serves customers across catering, retail outlets, and patient care venues
  • prepares bulk food items and specialty meals for large-scale production
  • maintains an organized and sanitary work environment
  • manages food production quantities with product rotation
  • delivers patient meals and performs cashier duties
  • operates automatic and manual ware-washing machines as required
