Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs
- Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration
- Familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems
- Vehicle for use during all working hours should be registered and inspected in accordance with 540 CMR 4.00 preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Food preparation experience in a program preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred but can be received through BHN employment
- Valid driver’s license
- Familiarity with internet, word processing, and email systems
- Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration
Job Duties
- Adhering to kitchen compliance standards set by the Department of Public Health
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary food preparation environment
- Ordering food, planning menus, and preparing nutritious and healthy meals for the individuals served using clear and appropriate communication to all parties
- Transporting food to other sites as needed
- Maintaining ServSafe certification
- Learning how to work independently, manage a food budget, do menu planning, and maintain a kitchen to DPH standards and regulations
