Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year related cooking experience
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently immerse hands in water
  • Ability to work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Ability to work in hot environments

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining environments preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Food knowledge including soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking methods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • Perform station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation complying with HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and measure, mix ingredients
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
